In the first days after you have had wisdom teeth extraction, a dentist recommends you steer clear of dairy products including milk and cheese. The reason is that you have to give time for the wound to heal. A dentist may advise you to avoid milk in the first days after getting your wisdom teeth extracted, and there is a good reason for this.

Why Avoid Milk After Extraction

Dairy has proteins known to encourage bacterial growth and they could heighten the danger of infection. Dairy offers an ideal environment for bacterial growth, and these bacteria can contribute to swelling or inflammation, and discomfort within the gums and nearby areas.
