Understanding Full-Mouth Dental Implants

First, the dentist will prepare your gums and jawbone for the implant by surgically placing a porous scaffold in the area. Then, the implant is inserted into your jawbone, and the scaffold is removed. After that, the dentist will put a healing cap over the implant, and you will need to wait up to three months for your gums and jawbone to heal. Once healed, the dentist will attach an abutment to the implant, followed by a crown, bridge, or dental partial restoration.

What Exactly Does Full-Mouth Implant Mean

Full-mouth dental implants are an all-around solution for people who need to replace all their natural teeth. Contrary to partial or individual tooth implants, which only replace a selection of teeth, full-mouth implants replace all-natural teeth with artificial teeth.

This means patients who have lost or need to replace all their teeth can enjoy a complete and natural-looking smile. While full-mouth dental implants may cost more than traditional dentures, choosing this solution far outweighs the benefits.

Benefits of Full Mouth Implants

Full-set dental implants offer a diverse range of benefits. A complete set of teeth provides a secure and long-lasting solution for replacing all your natural teeth. The full implants offer the ability to eat and chew food like regular teeth. Further, they are ideal since they restore your smile and give you confidence. Implants are easy to maintain since they can be brushed like regular teeth.

Who Should Have Full Arch Implants

Full mouth implants are only necessary for individual who have lost all their teeth. A surgeon should examine your implant eligibility if you are missing most of your teeth. Besides losing teeth, you should also have a healthy jawbone and gums. Your dentist will also consider overall health before the surgery.

If you want implants, we offer All-on-4 as the most cost-effective option. We also offer other options, such as All-on-6. Please call us or email to learn about the available full arch implants.
