Multiple Tooth Replacement Surgery

Posted on 3/22/2021 by Pacific Oral and Facial Surgery Center
Multiple Tooth Replacement SurgeryLosing a single tooth is inconvenient enough, but when you lose several teeth, it can seriously restrict your ability to chew, speak and smile. At Pacific Oral & Facial Surgery Center,Michael L. Beckley, DDS and can provide you with various treatments to replace your missing teeth.

We can substitute all your teeth with dental implants or replace them with innovative overdentures to preserve the health of your mouth.

How Are Multiple Teeth Replaced With Implants?

If you are missing multiple teeth, multiple dental implants may be a viable option for you. We can replace each of your missing teeth with individual implants if you still have a few healthy teeth remaining in your jaw. However, if you do not have any teeth at all, we may recommend using an overdenture that can hold a full arch of artificial teeth.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures are prosthetic devices that are fitted onto your upper and lower jaw with the help of four to six dental implants. These dental implants consist of attachments that can connect with an overdenture that is equipped with a full set of teeth.

Hence, with the help of only a few implants in each jaw, you can restore your ability to eat and smile completely.

All-On-4 Treatment Concept

All-on-4 Treatment Concept is an innovative implant-supported overdenture. The procedure involves placing four implants in each arch. The two back implants are longer and tilted at an angle so that they access the stronger, denser bone at the back of the jaw. Because of this, your implants will have more stability. In some cases, patients who have low-density jawbone may not even require jaw augmentation surgery for the implant surgery to be a success.

Once you get your multiple tooth implant surgery, we will inform you how to take care of your appliance so that they last you for several years. We also highly recommend you keep your six-monthly dental appointments.

If you have multiple teeth missing, you can call us at 925-290-7727 to schedule a consultation with us. Based on the health of your jaw, we will determine whether dental implant surgery is a viable option for you or not.
